Artists reflect! When I started to make this i thought of a plan do to what people call the mariner star. I first drew the mariner star out on paper to see how big it was going to be on the paper. Next I took the paper and made one big clay slab that was a little bigger than the paper and I drew the star just as it was on the paper onto the slab. After I drew the star I began to pop out the star to make it seem like the start was popping out from the background. My end result was the picture. Im not finished with it i'm going to put something in the back ground to make it not so plain.
Artists communicate through their artwork! In this I wanted to do something that I loved to draw. At home I have many of these drawings of the mariner star and I told myself this year that I wanted to do something that included the star that I loved to draw. So when this project came along I knew it would be the perfect time to draw the star the way I wanted to. It really doesn't express me but it expresses things that I find interesting in art. I really like this piece but I have to finish it.
